Anthony Doherty is the Microsoft Windows Business Group Lead for South Africa. His role has end-to-end accountability for the Windows business strategy, sales & marketing channels (direct, indirect, online), and recruiting partners in Consumer/Retail, Enterprise, Midmarket, Small business, and Government. Anthony’s passion is unlocking potential in people through leveraging technology to enhance their lives.
Prior to this role, Anthony ran the telecommunications, media & entertainment and hospitality businesses in Microsoft where he developed new GTM strategies and implementation of to/through partner offerings for Cloud, Devices, and bundled service offerings.
Anthony is currently enjoying his fifteenth year at Microsoft.
Prior to Microsoft, Anthony worked at the following companies over a twelve year period:
Baan SA (Pty) Ltd, an ERP vendor, where he was instrumental in enabling the Wintel platform support business model and implementation of ISO accreditation.
Subsidiary General Manager of Gazaz (Pty) Ltd, a computer component importer and distributor serving 2,600 dealers nation-wide.
Factory Manager for Digital Media Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd, specialist manufacturer of computer media and disk storage solutions.
